NZ Family Owned & Operated
The IDAS Group was established in Christchurch, New Zealand, in the late 1980's.
Back then, the focus was on providing quality PPE and Packaging products to the food industry. The business grew and adapted to industry changes.
Today, IDAS Group manufactures and supplies products to wholesale clients and individuals in a range of industries and professions throughout New Zealand and the world.
IDAS Group products are regularly used in abattoirs, butcheries, bakeries, fisheries, laboratories, medical centers, tourist attractions, retirement villages, schools, and private homes.
The current owners, are a local family, committed to developing and refining the IDAS Group product range. They continue to operate their Christchurch factory and work with international suppliers. The family is proud that their business is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Food Safety Policy
At IDAS group, we are dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of food safety in all aspects of our operations.
We recognise the critical importance of providing safe and wholesome food grade packaging and handling products to our customers, and are committed to meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Our commitment is to:
- Comply with all applicable food safety laws, regulations, and standards, including ISO 22000:2018;
- Conduct thorough hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential hazards at all stages of the process, from raw material sourcing to distribution;
- Adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices throughout our facilities to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for food production;
- Maintain effective internal and external communication;
- Ensure all personnel are competent and provided adequate training on food safety requirements; and
- Work towards continuous improvement.
The objective framework we will pursue to satisfy this commitment is:
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and ensure that our practices are always in full compliance with these requirements.;
- Establish and maintain a robust Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and ISO 22000:2018;• Work closely with our suppliers to ensure the safety and quality of raw materials and ingredients used in our products;
- Implement measures to prevent cross-contamination, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring proper hygiene practices among our employees; and
- Provide staff with adequate advice, information, education, training, and suitable supervision.

IDAS Group is committed to sourcing materials and products that reduce harm to humans and the environment.
IDAS Group is now actively transitioning to the use of Phthalate Free PVC in the manufacture of aprons.
