IDAS Group was established, as a family business, in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1987.

From small beginnings, providing PPE and Food Packaging products to local clients, the business grew and adapted, but one thing remained the same: 100% NZ Family operation and ownership.

IDAS Group now manufacture and supply essential products to wholesale and retail clients throughout New Zealand, and internationally. IDAS Group products are used daily by New Zealand's major food producers in their abattoirs, butcheries, dairies, fisheries, and bakeries. IDAS Group products are also used in laboratories, medical centers, retirement villages, tourist operations, schools, and private homes.

IDAS Group's current owners are committed to quality assurance and continued product development. This commitment has resulted in IDAS Group's successful registration as a Telarc approved business; compliant with the internationally recognised food safety management standard - ISO 22000:2018. This important certification provides IDAS Group clients with the resources they need to confidently manage their own business compliance requirements.
